Children's iPad Book Now Available on iTunes
We’re very proud to announce that Chimps Should Be Chimps is now free to download from the App Store. This just-launched app is a collaboration with Lincoln Park Zoo’s Project ChimpCARE, a program dedicated to raising awareness of the problems surrounding chimpanzees in entertainment. We collaborated with the zoo to present their message in an innovative way – an iPad interactive storybook.
ChimpCARE’s mission is serious, but the playful nature of the iPad allowed us to creatively explore these complex issues. The iPad was an ideal platform to convey a complex message in an engaging, interactive experience. The intuitive platform helped us create a streamlined, easy-to-use interface for our young audience without limiting functionality. Touchscreen interactive features, like hidden “Easter Egg” surprises and pop-up Chimp Facts, infused the story with a sense of fun. The app also includes supplemental information about Project ChimpCARE’s mission in a “tap-to-expand” parent menu.
